Job Summary

The Geosolutions Geophysicist holds a crucial role in project execution and the formulation of technical solutions to address subsurface challenges. In this position, you can expect to create intricate, high-definition representations of the subsurface. This involves processing and imaging 2D, 3D, and time-lapse (4D) seismic data while integrating and collaborating with geologists and reservoir characterization experts to enhance product quality and client satisfaction.

• Reporting Line: The position reports directly to a Project Manager.
• Work Environment: Highly collaborative, involving regular coordination within an extensive team.
• Experience Level: 0 to 1 year of experience (Open for Fresh Graduates).

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with a diverse team to provide a high-quality technical product according to established project schedules.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and offer technical guidance on processing parameters.
• Process geophysical data using appropriate, state-of-the-art technology and software.
• Develop innovative solutions and new workflows to address complex challenges encountered during data processing.
• Develop scientific critical thinking to establish, construct, and submit processing tasks, analyze outcomes, and propose additional testing when necessary.
• Ensure the precision and effectiveness of all testing and production job sequences through rigorous validation.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies within both seismic and non-seismic data processing techniques.
• Participate in accredited professional societies and technical conferences.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Minimum of a Geosciences degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Entry-level position tailored for individuals with 0 to 1 year of experience, or less than two years of relevant professional experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Seismic Processing software, with a strong preference for Omega.
  • Proficient in Signal Processing, Velocity Model Building, and Time and Depth Imaging.
• Core Competencies: Strong communication skills, a genuine passion for continuous learning, sharp problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in collaborative team environments.
• Location Requirements:
  • The candidate will be assigned to the SLB office in Tripoli, Libya.
  • The candidate must possess valid legal authorization to work in the assigned location.
